How do I access full-text articles through Google Scholar?

Answer

To get to most full-text articles, you need to have a subscription to the journal in which it was published. The MCPHS Libraries subscribe to many journals you'll need for your academic work. You can set Google Scholar up so that it "knows" you're part of the MCPHS community, and it will connect you directly to our full-text articles.

Here's how to do that:

  • Go to Google Scholar: https://scholar.google.com
  • Click on Settings at the top of the window. (It moves depending on your screen size - check for a menu option and go from there.)
  • Click on Library Links.
  • Search for and select MCPHS - Get Full Text
  • Click the blue Save button.

That's it! Now when you search in Google Scholar click on the Get Full Text link on the right-hand side of each search result to get the full article through the Libraries.
