Can I reserve a group study room?
Answer
Boston Campus
The Henrietta DeBenedictis Library has 5 group study rooms for our students. Students can reserve study rooms online. They are popular. To help manage the demand, we have the following policies:
- Group study rooms are for the use of 2 or more people.
- Students may reserve a study room for one 2-hour slot each day. If a group of students studies together, the group is only allowed one slot.
- Reservations can be made up to 7 days in advance.
- The reservation will be held for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, other students can use the room instead.
- Room 7 is used by CASE Peer-Tutors. If the room is empty it may be used but students must leave if a tutor requires the room.
- On holidays and after the Circulation Desk is closed, reservations are not in effect and rooms may be used on a first come first serve basis.
Worcester Campus:
- No reservation is necessary. Group study spaces are available on a first come, first served basis.
Manchester Campuses:

- Group study rooms are for the use of 2 or more people.
- Students may reserve a study room for one 2-hour slot each day. If a group of students studies together, the group is only allowed one slot (i.e., each student should not book a separate slot to gain more time in a study room).
- Reservations can be made up to 3 days in advance.
- The reservation will be held for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, other students can use the room instead.
- Speak at a normal volume in the study room. Speaking at a normal volume reduces the chance that you will disturb other students.
