Why is the total number of possible points for my course higher (or lower) than the total possible points for the assignments and tests?
Answer
The total number of Possible Points in a course can be affected by any of the following:
- Items in the Grade Center that you are not using, but the points are included
- Duplicates of current items
- Missing a drop box for an assignment
- Items with incorrect point values
- Columns incorrectly included in the Total or Weighted Total calculations
- Orphaned columns from previously deleted assignments
